Great for a quick and casual meal. Everything comes on a sizzling hot iron cast plate and you cook the protein yourself. My recommendations are the garlic beef pepper rice and Kimchi beef pepper rice. I usually add soy miso, shichimi togarashi, and black pepper for more flavor. Careful not to add too much at once and mix well. Enjoy!

Good lunch and dinner place. Fast service. Love the chicken options. Can be made spicy with different condiments and spices available at table. Order from table and fast service. Lots of seats available and not so crowded .

Came back and this time I got the potato croquette rice dish and my boyfriend got the pork rice (same as last time ahaha). We also came with a big party again so we had to split up like last time. The food was delicious and the portion was worth the price.

"We should try this place." My standard line every time we leave Target, and I see the sign for this restaurant. It got so bad my husband started to make fun of me. Well, we finally made it to SZ for lunch on a Sunday, and I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. We walked in as they had just opened up; the hostess, who also pulled double duty as the sole waitress, welcomed us immediately, seated us, and explained how things work. Ordering is super easy via tablet. Pick your food, submit it to the kitchen, and add more things, if you like, later. We got: -Strawberry Sugarcane juice (4.5/5): not too sour, not too sweet -Cucumber salad (5/5): I could have slurped that marinade. The cucumber was fresh, and the portion was generous -Garlic beef pepper rice with added cheese (5/5): OMG, I did not see that coming. The way the rice got all crispy, the yummy flavors from the garlic butter and the teriyaki+shoyu sauces, and the generous portion had me smiling. And it was not greasy at all. -Black sesame cheesecake (4/5): this was on the smaller size, but was still tasty. Overall, it's a winner. My hubby enjoyed it so much that he was already talking about returning as we walked out. Yes, this will be a regular spot for us, for sure!

came here for lunch on a whim. all ordering is done through a tablet at the table which speeds things along. decently cheap for a filing lunch ($15 ish). i was trying to minimize carbs, so i got the veggie and beef combo while my bf got the classic rice and beef. we ended up basically distributing the rice and veggies between the two of us for a perfect ratio. wouldn't go out of my way for it since it is something i could make at home, but wools definitely stop by if i were hungry and in the area.

Sizzling Lunch is a must whenever I am in the Bay Area !! I usually eat pepper lunch since I'm a SoCal girl and that's what we have at home... but i did notice that sizzling lunch portion size is so much bigger + they are not stingy with the meat :D The cheese fries are the star of the show here !!! SO good I wish they had that at pepper lunch. I also tried the beef udon here and was praying that pepper lunch added that to their menu & they did (finally!). I also lov that you can order at the table -- basically a self kiosk.

I love this location! I have been to another location and the service was not good. Here they check on you constantly. And give you a large jug of water. The different sauces are so tasty. I love the salmon, chicken, steak, and the veggies. The garlic butter makes it so creamy. I like to add a lot of the spice. I need to try the signature cheese corn next! It's such a fun experience getting food sizzling on a hot stone plate. Pro tip: put some of the sauces on right away on the edges, and it will sizzle even more and make the rice super crispy on the bottom. Any chance you can start offering 1/2 rice 1/2 veggie?

This location has quickly become my favorite go-to spot. The spacious layout with booth seating is what I love besides the food. You can order straight from the Ipad at your table and it makes everything so convenient. Every time I come here, I always order the same two dishes --the beef udon and takoyaki--and I never get tired of them. The beef is incredibly tender and melts in your mouth, while the takoyaki, though not the most flavorful compared to other places, still hits the spot with its crispy shell and soft inside. It's my comfort food fix whenever I visit. Make sure you add enough teriyaki and garlic shoyu sauce tho or else it will be bland. I prob should try other dishes but these two are so good to not order!!

I chose the garlic beef pepper rice and added an egg for an extra $1.5, which was a bit pricey for the egg. The dish arrived 'sizzling,' making it enjoyable to stir and cook the meat to perfection. The aroma was delightful, sparking my appetite, and the portion size for the price was satisfying. The staff was friendly and attentive, checking on us frequently to ensure everything was to our liking. My preferred sauce was the teriyaki, complementing the garlic beef excellently. The restaurant is clean and a good spot for friends and families hang out. Moreover, there's ample parking available in the plaza.
